New Transportation Center
Fairport Central School District
Fairport Central School District's fleet of over 100 school buses and 130 staff required additional space and modernized, code-compliant maintenance facilities—more than the District's 50-year-old transportation building was able to provide. Renovating the existing facility would address some but not all of the challenges the original facility presented. The solution was the design and construction of a new, state-of-the-art Transportation Center building. The two-story, 21,000 s.f. facility includes offices, meeting space, maintenance and wash bays, in-ground and surface-mounted lifts, and other necessary equipment to address the needs of the District’s vehicles and department staff.
