Monroe 2 - Orleans BOCES Breaks Ground on Major Enhancements

Dozens of supporters from nine surrounding school districts attended the groundbreaking of Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES Capital Project in Spencerport, NY on Friday, June 17, 2016. The project was a first for BOCES 2 in its 60-year history. The $29.2 million in enhancements brought both WEMOCO Career and Technical Education Center and the Educational Services Center to the 21st Century with a state-of-the-art environment.

The enhancements included a 15,000 SF addition to the Educational Service Center for professional development space utilized by teachers and administrators of various districts, reconfiguration of classroom space to increase capacity for the growing enrollment into the technical education programs, and the replacement of the MEP infrastructures within WEMOCO and the Educational Service Center. Extensive changes to the site commenced to accommodate parking and modify traffic flow for the growing population. Construction completed in 2018.
